Job Title: Junior Class Coordinator

Job Overview:

The Junior Class Coordinator is responsible for guiding and supporting the junior class in planning and executing class activities, with a primary focus on organizing the Junior-Senior Prom. The coordinator serves as the main advisor to the junior class officers and provides logistical and organizational support to ensure successful event planning, fundraising, and student engagement.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prom Planning and Execution:

    • Lead the planning and coordination of the Junior-Senior Prom, including venue selection, theme, decorations, music, catering, and ticket sales.

    • Ensure all prom activities comply with school policies and are approved by administration.

    • Supervise prom setup, event operations, and cleanup.

  • Fundraising and Budget Management:

    • Help organize and oversee fundraising efforts to support prom and other junior class activities.

    • Develop and manage a budget for prom expenses in collaboration with administration and class officers.

    • Maintain accurate financial records and submit all documentation as required.

  • Student Leadership and Involvement:

    • Advise junior class officers and support student participation in decision-making processes.

    • Encourage involvement from the junior class in event planning and fundraising efforts.

  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Maintain clear communication with administration, students, parents, and vendors.

    • Coordinate with other school staff to align prom activities with the school calendar and facility availability.

  • Record Keeping and Compliance:

    • Maintain documentation of meetings, decisions, and purchases.

    • Ensure all necessary contracts, approvals, and purchase orders are completed properly and on time.


Qualifications:

  • Current Burgin Independent School staff member preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience coordinating events or student activities is a plus.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and vendors.

  • Availability to attend after-school meetings and events as needed.
