Job Title: Senior Class Coordinator

Job Overview:

The Senior Class Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing activities, events, and communications for the senior class at Burgin High School. This role serves as the primary liaison between the school administration and the senior class, ensuring a memorable and well-coordinated senior year experience.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Coordination:

    • Organize and oversee major senior events, including Senior Trip, Senior Breakfast, and Graduation.

    • Coordinate with staff, vendors, and venues to secure logistics for senior events.

    • Create and maintain a calendar of senior activities and deadlines.

  • Student Leadership and Communication:

    • Work with senior class officers (if applicable) to facilitate student voice in event planning.

    • Maintain regular communication with seniors and their families regarding upcoming events, requirements, and deadlines.

  • Graduation Planning:

    • Coordinate the planning, rehearsal, and execution of the graduation ceremony.

    • Assist with the ordering and distribution of caps, gowns, diplomas, and other graduation materials.

  • Budgeting and Fundraising:

    • Assist in developing and managing the senior class budget.

    • Support or organize fundraising efforts if needed for events and activities.

  • Senior Recognition and Awards:

    • Coordinate Senior Class Night in collaboration with staff and administration.

    • Help organize the distribution of cords, scholarships, and recognitions.

  • Record Keeping and Compliance:

    • Maintain accurate records of payments, event participation, and fundraising income.

    • Ensure all activities are approved by administration and comply with school policies.


Qualifications:

  • Current Burgin Independent School staff member preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Experience working with students in a leadership or advisory capacity is a plus.

  • Flexibility to attend after-school and weekend events.
